Iron & Wine at the Historic Ryman Auditorium

We made it to our first concert in Nashville!! Last year almost to the date, we saw Iron & Wine at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, and tonight we saw them again on a new stage: The Historic Ryman Theatre, where the Grand Ole Opry was first held in the late 1800s. We left Lulu with a cool couple (Thanks Mizukawas!) and went out for a night of beautiful music with our buddy Alan and Sean's Bro Chris and our sis-in-law Trisha. The hypnotizing harmony and melodic story-telling style of Iron & Wine is good for the soul.

We've been listening to these guys for some time too. I like Pagan Angel and Boy With a Coin.

Holy cow - I don't know Iron & Wine, but that Ryman is the bomb isn't it??? We saw Elvis Costello and Emmy Lou Harris together there and I fell in love with that historic little place. Mo and I were just talking about you and how we missed you -- can't wait to see you at Christmas!
xoxo.
